Finally I found the time to update to the new version of ExpressionEngine. This was actually done in an instant really. The only thing you need is full concentration. Not sure if you’ve noticed this lately, but I’ve added a banner to Layers magazine at the bottom of all my Photoshop-Illustrator articles. This appears automatically. I have been fortunate enough to watch Illustrator CS3 grow into a very nice update during its beta cycle. A more closer look at the new application is forthcoming, but for this article I want to focus on something that isn’t commonly known to everybody. That’s maybe because it’s buried a bit deep in the application because of its preview technology status.

Yesterday I got a nice surprise on my birthday and that’s the release of ExpressionEngine 1.6 with a bunch of new features and enhancements. Half of these new features are the direct result of community requests.

Design icons Charles & Ray Eames

One June 17th, 1907 an American designer was born. He worked together with his wife Ray for most of his life and made a tremendous mark in design history. Both their legacy contains many classic, iconic designs of the 20th century. If you are a fan of design furniture you probably already guessed that I am talking about Charles and Ray Eames.

My experience with iBiz 3

In our continued process of finding the ultimate application I’ll review iBiz client and server. It’s the application we have been using for a while now. Two years ago I was looking for an application that not only looked professional and Mac-like, but also easy to use and to understand. Billings was my best find back then, but since it doesn’t have multiple user support I opted for the second best option iBiz.
