Well, what can I say, I’m having a great time here. There is really too much to write about, it’s like my head is exploding right now ;-) I feel like I’m living on adrenaline the last couple of days. It’s so intense to have so much fun and meet all those people. The conference was really great on day one and the second day was even better. It was a bit of a rush to get on time.

This morning around 11 my boyfriend and I departed for @media London. We took the train from Deinze to Brussels, ate a sandwich and then checked in to take the Eurostar from Brussels to London Waterloo. This was my actually my first time I travelled with the Eurostar. Apart from the very poor Dutch by the train manager (it was advisable to pay attention to the French version instead, it was that bad) the trip went smooth.

Only 9 days and I’m off to London to join the @media conference. Not only am I looking forward to this event because of the interesting speeches and learning material, but also because of the social aspect. You know, putting faces to the familiar names.

The keynote was attended by more then 7000 people. When Phill Shiller came on stage he said “Apple Expo is going to be amazing”. He also talked about Steve that he is recovering very well and that he will be back at Cupertino in September. Apparently many Apple folks are thinking along the lines of September can’t come soon enough.

There were 3500 registered developers at the WWSC, a 17% increase over last year. At last the new displays are here! I’ve been waiting for them almost 6 months and now I’m in the market for such a 30 inch beauty. There are 3 new displays: 20, 23 and 30 inch. The 20 inch has a resolution of 1680x1050 and a DVI Interface. The middle one (23 inch) has a resolution of 1920x1200 and also a DVI Interface. The big one has a mind-blowing resolution of 2560x1600! and has a DualLink DVI Interface and will cost 3299 Dollars. The 30 inch will need a special video card which costs 599 dollar.
