iPod Mini and Xserve G5 on its way

Finally I took the plunge and ordered my iPod Mini and guess which color ... Pink ;-) I decided to go for the Mini because I really like its small size and I don’t need all my songs on it all the time. Besides, 1000 songs is more then enough for me. When I’ll be using my iPod it will be for a few hours tops, not for days and days (of course that is me talking now… who knows :-D). And if I’m on holiday or on a business trip I have my PowerBook at hand, so I can switch now and then or use the On-the-go playlist feature.
My Sony Discman, which I’ve almost never used, will stay in the drawer, which has been his home for the past 5 years (I received it for free as a gift from my Apple dealer Macline) ;-) Speaking of Macline, if you’re interested, they have the iPod Mini in stock, which is pretty rare since supplies are still restraint.
Some readers may recall that my company also had an Xserve G5 with optional Raid Card on order. Of course this was all months ago, damn those big orders! Well now I’ve been notified that it is finally shipping. We did choose for the optional Raid Card since it will now be possible to use Raid 5 when you have 3 HD’s installed. For us this is the best solution, we don’t want or need an Xserve Raid, which is far more expensive also (imagine, 3.5 terabytes storage!). Right now, this Xserve will replace a G4/466Mhz fileserver and an iMac DV Special Edition G3/400Mhz which served as our development webserver. It’s safe to assume that things will speed up dramatically because we’re jumping to a 2Ghz G5 now with 1,5 GB of RAM. Enough of the geek talk, but I’m still looking forward in meeting my new “work buddies” ;-)

Now load tray 2 and 3 of your printer to print out all manuals ;-)

Help me please! I came across your blog (excellent by the way :-) ) through zeldman.com and by way of a page that promoted designing with css. But I forgot to bookmark that page and now I cant find it!!!
It had different designs to choose from and you could also submit your own in the projekt. Do you have any idea what I’m talking about? Please help!
